Privacy Policy

Account information: When you sign up, we store your email address and a unique user ID (via Firebase Authentication) so you can sign in and save your progress.

Learning progress: We save which words and sentences you've practiced, and your scores for reading, listening, writing, and speaking, so you can track your progress and see which words you've mastered.

Feedback you submit: If you send feedback through the Feedback page, we store your message, your account email, and its status so we can respond.

Voice recordings and messages used by AI features: The Speaking Test and AI Conversation Practice features send your voice recording or written message to Google's Gemini AI model to transcribe it, evaluate your pronunciation, or generate a conversational response. These are processed to produce that result and are not stored by us beyond what's needed to show it to you.

Usage analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, which pages are visited, roughly which country visitors come from, and what device or browser they use. This is aggregate, anonymized traffic data; it is not linked to your name or the words you study.

To operate the core features of the app (sign-in, saving your progress, generating AI feedback), to respond to feedback you send us, and to understand overall usage so we can improve the app.

This app is built on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, and Hosting) and uses Google's Gemini AI (via Genkit) for speech evaluation, transcription, conversation practice, and content generation. Your data is processed on Google's infrastructure under Google's own privacy and data-handling terms.

The app uses Google Analytics, which stores a small identifier in your browser (via cookies or local storage) to distinguish repeat visits. This identifier is not linked to your account or your real name.

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account exists. The app doesn't currently offer a self-service "delete my account" option; to request deletion of your account or data, please contact us via the Feedback page.

You can review your saved progress on the History page at any time. To request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data, contact us via the Feedback page.

This app is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under that age.

We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we do.
